San Francisco, Oct. 28, 2026. Librería de Satoshi, the technical education organization that has reached more than 3,665 people in more than 40 countries and has provided financial support to 30 open source developers since 2021, today announced it is rebranding as ISMOS. The company is launching not only a new website but also campus.ismos.xyz, a new platform built to help teachers and communities around the world train the next generation of builders.
“Talent is universal; opportunity is not. I founded Librería de Satoshi because I experienced the language barrier in Bitcoin firsthand. ISMOS takes that mission global, so the next great developer can come from anywhere,” said Dulce Villarreal, CEO and founder of ISMOS.
What began as a Bitcoin-focused school for Spanish speakers is now a technical education ecosystem and full developer pipeline for Freedom Tech and open source. ISMOS brings together teachers and builders: a space to learn and teach with the values of Freedom Tech, in more languages, in more regions, and across more disciplines, with a growing presence in universities, bootcamps, and programming communities. Born in Latin America as Librería de Satoshi, ISMOS is now a global movement.
The Goal: Train One Million Developers Worldwide
ISMOS combines rigorous curricula, direct mentorship, and fellowships, taught in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, with more languages on the way. Subjects will include Bitcoin, Cryptography, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, AI, Nostr, open source software, and open-weight AI models. The platform is open source, and devs can explore its open source tools at github.com/ismos-xyz.
ISMOS is currently backed mainly by Btrust and the Human Rights Foundation. Other organizations, including OpenSats and the Gemini Opportunity Fund, have supported it with smaller grants in the past.
The rebrand reflects almost five years of growth and a deeper commitment to equal access to opportunity. A developer in Colombia, Nigeria, or El Salvador deserves the same shot at a world-class technical career as anyone in Silicon Valley or London. That is why ISMOS goes beyond curricula, supporting the best devs individually through programs such as B4OS (Bitcoin 4 Open Source), fellowships, and its developer residencies: in their language, at their level, and with the specific support they need to go further than they thought possible.
