Librería de Satoshi trains more than 260 people in Bitcoin in 2023
Spanish-speaking participants in 15 countries benefited from courses on bitcoin technology at every level.

Librería de Satoshi, the leading platform for Bitcoin technology education in Spanish, provided technical training to more than 260 people in 2023. With a focus on basic and advanced knowledge of the Bitcoin protocol, Librería de Satoshi continues to leave a significant mark on the bitcoiner community in Latin America and Spain.
Bitcoin Technical Training
During 2023, Librería de Satoshi successfully completed a total of 4 specialized programs, focused on giving participants a deep understanding of Bitcoin:
- Bitcoin 101: 3 editions of the free introductory course were offered, where more than 150 people learned to download and set up their own wallet, make their first transactions and buy bitcoin without KYC.
- Mastering Bitcoin: 2 editions of this basic course were held, focused on exploring the technical foundations of Bitcoin technology.
- Mastering Lightning Network: A cohort of the advanced course on Bitcoin’s second-layer network, Lightning Network, was also taught, with the goal of going deeper into how this payment protocol works.
- LBCL (Learning Bitcoin from the Command Line): The first edition of this advanced study group was launched, designed for developers and people proficient with the command-line terminal.
Participation of bitcoiners worldwide
A total of 150 people took part in the free workshops and another 112 in the courses and seminars held last year. Participants enrolled from 15 different countries, mainly in Latin America, including Cuba, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, Guatemala, Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica and Ecuador. In addition, this year we welcomed a larger number of participants from Spain and from Spanish speakers living in other European countries such as Germany, Italy, Portugal and France.
Scholarships to extend the reach of Bitcoin education
Librería de Satoshi awarded a total of 48 scholarships to committed students developing new Bitcoin skills. The scholarships were distributed as follows:
- 13 scholarship recipients in the Mastering Bitcoin 2023-1 course
- 16 scholarship recipients in the Mastering Bitcoin 2023-2 course
- 19 scholarship recipients in the Mastering Lightning Network course
Most of the recipients come from countries with inflationary economies or authoritarian regimes such as Argentina, Cuba and Venezuela.
Committed to Bitcoin development
The mission of Librería de Satoshi is to make high-quality Bitcoin technical education accessible, in Spanish. In 2023 we made significant progress toward this goal by running new cohorts of our flagship courses and launching a new specialized study group.
We are also proud to have received the support of HRF (Human Rights Foundation), an organization that awarded a grant to back our commitment to Bitcoin education. In addition, the region’s bitcoiner community recognized us as the “Educational Project of the Year” at the sixth edition of the Cripto Latin Fest festival, held in Colombia.
